Health Science Portfolio Assessment Resource Site

 

Welcome to the West Virginia Department of Education, Career and Technical Education - Health Science Portfolio Assessment resource site. This website is dedicated to information related to the 2011-2012 portfolio pilot project. The goal of each portfolio is to document the student’s mastery of the program competencies in the concentration areas of Health Science Education.  Each student will include materials in their portfolio that document mastery of program specific competencies.

The CTE portfolio project begins with the student collecting and selecting information that will best represent him/her as a developing professional. Through the process, students will evaluate and reflect on their individual learning experience and as their perceptions and skill attainments change the portfolio will document their progress.
